Week 2 - Team Formation
Teamwork is crucial for success. A group of individuals working together can achieve more than an individual working alone. However, team formation is not just about putting people together and expecting them to work efficiently. It involves selecting the right people and creating an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and productivity.
In forming our team, we based on the results of our individual personality test so that we have a balance team composition where there are introverts and extroverts. In order to determine our roles within the team, we took the 3H personality theory test. The 3H personality theory is based on the idea that a team should consist of individuals with different skill sets and backgrounds. Each person brings something unique to the table, and when combined, they form a powerful force that can achieve great things. The said theory has been used by many successful companies, including Airbnb and Uber, to create high-performing teams.
According to the 3H personality theory, a successful team should consist of three types of people: Hustlers, Hipsters, and Hackers. Hustlers are individuals who are good at convincing people to join their cause and are responsible for marketing and sales. Hipsters are creative individuals who bring a unique perspective to the team and are responsible for design and branding. Hackers are the individuals who have technical skills and are responsible for building and maintaining the product.
We named our team as "The Gamechangers" - individuals who have the potential to transform the team and take it to the next level. We are determined in making our ideas into reality. With that, we decided to chose this name to convey our commitment in improving the lives of the people through our product. The name of our team might be bold, aspirational, and forward-thinking. However, it is often used to signify a person or entity that is capable of achieving great things and making a lasting impact.
Each of us has our own ideas but as our group was formed, we need to chose the top three ideas based on the interviews. The following are the top three ideas of the group:
